I understand that it is the responsibility of the individual Primary Care Trusts to 'fund' supplies of drugs within their own areas.

I would like my doctor to give me a trial of natural desiccated porcine thyroid extract (Armour thyroid), as I remain unwell on Thyroxine alone. Would you please let me know if your Committee would be prepared to fund the supply of this medicine should my doctor prescribe this for me?
